As a direct result of the infectious outbreak that hit the J.M de los Ríos Hospital’s dialysis unit and the shortage of antibiotics (alarming humanitarian crisis) ten kids died. That prompted our team to take the case to the Inter-American Commission on human rights.

We asked for precautionary measures for the children in the nephrology service, which were approved and later extended to other 13 services at the Hospital.

We send reports and monitor the human rights situation at the J.M de los Ríos Hospital seeing that the measures are being abided by.
