FUND A BIRTHDAY PARTY

It is important that in the midst of the harsh situation they are going through, children and adolescents do not lose the excitement and deep joy of celebrating their birthday, and all the other holidays of the year. On the last Friday of each month, birthdays are celebrated on the 5th floor of the J.M. de los Ríos Hospital (the most important children's hospital in the country). A celebration is held where we invite the other services and a children's party is organized to commemorate the birthday boys of the month. Children's faces light up when they are greeted by singers, face painting, storytelling, or even Mickey Mouse.

SUSTAINABILITY OF PONTE PORONTE

Children and adolescents, as well as mothers and caretakers need all the support we can get them. In all our years of service we have realized that this support should even help cover their basic needs. Some of them need help getting their children to the hospital; others cannot afford the extremely high costs of the required laboratory testing. Also, most cannot cover funeral related costs when needed either. They are not alone. Our job is to raise funds to cover all these expenses and make strategic agreements with laboratories and funeral homes.

DOCUMENTATION AND INCIDENCE

We systematically record violations of the human rights of children and adolescents, and of female caregivers; for which we carry out a process of collecting data and information necessary to achieve reparation for the victims. Health, food, education and recreation are fundamental human rights of children, if any of them are not fulfilled it is our obligation to articulate, mobilize and weave networks to achieve compliance. We cannot allow violations of these rights to go unnoticed or for one more child to lose their quality of life due to a chronic pathology that can be endured.
